31 Days of Party Planning: Day 22 K.I.S.S.

Welcome back!  So glad to have you back for my 31 Days of Party Planning series.  Today I thought we’d talk about Keeping things simple (hence the k.i.s.s.)
/
/
/
/What is KISS?  Keep It Simple Sweetheart… get it? yeah ok good 🙂
/
/
/
/I think I’ve giving you some ideas on how to make things easier for you in this series. Here are the highlights…
/
/

    /
    /

  • ask for help: I’m sure some of the guests (like a sister, BFF or cousin) can help with the festivities, right?
  • /
    /

  • make a list and keep it all in one place so you can have it ready when needed.  Like at the store or when an ideas comes to you
  • /
    /

  • make sure you gather your supplies early: purchase things that you find and store them.  When time for the party you’ll have a few supplies on hand
  • /
    /

  • limit your guest count.  The higher the count the more work for you.
  • /
    /

  • plan your budget and.. Stick. To. It.
  • /
    /

  • Do as many tasks as far ahead as possible.
  • /
    /

  • use what’s you have on hand for the party – find ways to use serving pieces or decor you already have.  Or borrow from friends of family members.
  • /
    /

  • use disposable products when appropriate.  You will save on time and there are plenty of recycled products you can use that help our planet.
  • /
    /

  • take the party out of your home – it’s sometimes best to have party outside of your home.  No fuss with clean up before and after the party.
  • /
    /

/
/Ultimately the best way to keep it simple is to do what you enjoy. Don’t force yourself to leave your comfort zone.  Don’t try any new recipes or remodel your entire house for the party.  Just enjoy yourself and your guests.  Have FUN!
